We have been very busy in 2nd Class this year.
One of the most important occasion was making our First Confession and First Holy Communion. We put in a lot of practice and ended up having an amazing day. We had a party afterward to celebrate.
All First Holy Communion children were invited to share their good fortune with the sick children of Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin, they donated almost €1,000.00, we have received a beautiful Thank You card on behalf of the children who will benefit from this money.
This year 2nd classes had the opportunity to learn how to play drums. Every week Eddie taught us rhythms and songs on the drum. We thoroughly enjoyed it. This was provided FREE.
We also went swimming on Fridays.
The annual school outing of the 2nd classes to the Music in the Classroom Series in the National Concert Hall took place in March. It was a marvelous opportunity for the children to experience live orchestral music at it’s best.
Our school tour took us to Lullymore where we enjoyed a trip on the bog train, a journey back in time visiting ‘a Crannoóg’, a famine house and a fairy bodhar.
Graduation Mass took place today. As part of graduation from St. Mark’s the children all wrote letters to Ms. Ryan telling her of their memories of the Junior School
